Sarah Menezes became Olympic Champion in 2012 in London U48kg. She won the Junior world title in 2008 in Bangkok and 2009 in Paris. Menezes won bronze at the World Championships in 2010, 2011 and 2013. Sarah is 3 time winner of the Grand Slam of Russia. In 2016 she won the Grand Prix of Havana. She collected 30 World Cup medals and stepped out of judo in 2020 to become a mother and has a daughter with 2013 World Champion Loic Pietri. Since 2022 Sarah is coach of the Brazilian women’s team for the 2024 Olympic Qualification.
