Azeri judoka Yashar Najafov triumphed at the Grand Slam Baku in 2023 and won bronze in 2024. He took a silver medal at the Grand Slam of Tel Aviv in 2022. Najafov triumphed at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2022. He claimed a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Dushanbe in 2023. He bagged bronze at the Grand Slam in Ulaanbaatar in 2023. Yashar secured a bronze medal at the Summer World University Games in Chengdu in 2023. Najafov took silver at the Grand Prix in Portugal in 2024.
