Dennis van der Geest is 2005 World Champion and 2004 Olympic bronze medallist. He won five World Championships medals (1997-2005) and two European titles in 2000 and 2002 among ten European medals. Dennis captured 11 gold medals at World Cups including the famous Tournoi de Paris in 1999. He claimed gold at the Dutch Open in Rotterdam. He became a successful entertainer and DJ and TV Presenter after he retired in 2008. Nickname: Woeste Willem. He was trained by Cor van der Geest, Herman Debrot, Ronald Joorse and Louis Wijdenbosch among others. He is commentator and analyst for JudoTV.
