Lyes Bouyacoub of Algeria was 3rd at 2007 World Military Championships. Bouyacoub won the African Games in Brazzaville in 2015 U100kg. He won World Cups in Port Louis, Casablanca, Wollongong and Dakar. Bronze at the African Open in Casablanca in 2016. He won silver at African Championships in 2016. He will make his eighth challenge for World Championships honours in Baku. The African Championships silver medallist has won Grand Prix bronze in 2010 and Grand Slam bronze in 2014.
