British lightweight Sharon Rendle was 1988 Olympic Champion and 1987 World Champion. She was Double Olympic medallist 1988-1992 and won five World medals and the European title in 1990 and 1996. Later coach of the Australian girlsteam in 1999. She won the Tournoi de Paris in 1992.
