Egyptian judoka Hisham Mesbah was 2008 Olympic bronze medallist in Beijing U90kg. He won the Grand Prix in Qingdao in 2009. Mesbah won the All African Games in Alger in 2007 and in Maputo in 2011, both U90kg. Mesbah was inducted into the IJF Hall of Fame in 2018. After his career he became an IJF referee at the major top events.
