Japanese judoka Hyoga Ota took bronze at the Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2016 and became World Cadet Champion U18 in 2013 in Miami. Ota won gold at the European Open in Rome in 2017. He won the Grand Slam in Ekaterinburg in 2018. He claimed a silver medal at the Grand Slam of Osaka in 2019.
