Georgian judoka Lasha Gujejiani was 5th at 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. He was 2005 and 2007 World bronze medallist and 2005 European U23 Champion, silver in 2003. He won the World Cup in Baku in 2009. Was coached by Zurab Zviadauri and had a great Uchi-mata, both sided. Retired in 2012. He became head coach of Georgia himself and had successes with Varlam Liparteliani, Tato Grigalashvili and Lasha Shavdatuashvili. He was crowned 2021 EJU Male Coach of the Year and IJF coach of the year 2022.
