María Martínez Murciego is President of the Peruvian Judo Federation and temporary CEO of the Peruvian Olympic Committee. She is the first time a woman in Peru that has been promoted to 7th dan in December 2022. Born in Spain but a Peruvian citizen for most of her life, she has been Peru’s national coach all the way up to the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
