Dutch judoka Joost Daamen captured the Dutch University title in 2024 in The Hague. He won the Matsumae Cup Vejle in 2019. He started 2019 with a victory at the espoir for Juniors in Eindhoven. He won medals at Dutch U15 Championships. Hailing from Nijmegen he competed at the 2024 European University Championships. His younger sisters are Maartje and Floor Daamen.
