Yuka Nishida became World Champion in 2010 in Tokyo and world silver in 2011. 2007 World bronze medallist. Won the Junior world title in 2004 in Budapest. She won the Grand Slam in Paris in 2012. She won the Kodokan Cup in 2014 and 2015 and Grand Prix in Qingdao in 2015. Daughter of Takahiro Nishida. She retired in November 2016 and married in 2018 and became mother in December 2018. Yuka Nishida (JPN) was number 1 of the IJF World Ranking for seniors U52kg from 2011-2013.

Azerbaijan and Japan take double gold in Qingdao

Japan and Azerbaijan have had an outstanding start of the 2015 Grand Prix in Qingdao. Both nations took two victories, Azerbaijan in the men’s division and Japan won two gold medals in the women. Mongolia’s Number one Sumiya Dorjsuren took the gold for women U57kg. Read more

The final of the women’s U52kg category at the Grand Prix QIngdao opposed Gulbadam Babamuratova of Turkmenistan, the winner of the 2015 edition of the Tashkent Grand Prix, and Japanese Nishida Yuka, winner of the 2012 Paris Grand Slam. Coming back to her top level, Nishida Yuka didn’t offer any chance for Babamuratova to win the gold, and she folded her in the tatami, with a superb drop-morote-seoi-nage for ippon. Read more

Ilgar Mushkiyev of Azerbaijan is the favourite for the title in Qingdao U60kg against Jeroen Mooren (NED). Mushkiyev defeated Mooren five times. He won World bronze in 2011 in Paris. He fought the World Junior Championships final in 2009. He won three World Cups since 2011, as last the Grand Prix in Baku, more than 10 World Cup medals. He won European bronze in 2014. Read more
