Japanese judoka Mayu Honda became the junior world champion in 2023 in Odivelas. She claimed a gold medal at the Junior European Cup in Malaga in 2022. She won the Belgian Open in Herstal in 2023. She clinched the gold medal at the Summer World University Games in Chengdu in 2023. Silver medal at 2024 Kodokan Cup in Chiba. Gold at 2024 Grand Slam Tokyo.
