Paralympic judoka Oleksandr Nazarenko of Ukraine won silver at the Paralympic Games in 2016 in Rio and bagged a bronze medal at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. He won the IBSA European bronze medal in Walsall in 2017. Nazarenko won judo bronze at the 2014 IBSA World Championships. In 2015 he won silver at the IBSA European Championships in Lisbon. In 2015 he won bronze at the IBSA World Games in Seoul. Nazarenko won the Visual Impaired German Open in Heidelberg in 2016. He took gold at the 2021 IBSA Judo Grand Prix in Baku. He captured bronze at the IBSA World Champion in Baku in 2022.
