Judoka Bastiaan Ruitenga was raised on a boat, started judo as a talent but broke his neck in a qualfication for the Dutch Championships. Was blind and paralyzed but recovered. Four years later in 2005 he had a stroke, which meant the end of his career. He became a personal coach and wrote a book.
