Jan van Buren won 4 national judo titles and lost 3 finals. He won European bronze with the Dutch team in 1990 and 1991. He medalled at the Dutch and Swiss Open and was also Dutch military champion. He fought U60 and U65kg at Mahorokan Maassluis. Became a talent coach after his career.
