John Burfoot is a Ni-Dan judoka with the IJF and based in Sydney, Australia. He is the co-founder of Judo Sharks, Sutherland and has served as Head Senior and Junior Instructor for over 10 years. John lived in Japan and trained with the Okayama Police Academy. He has also competed overseas and trained in four other continents including Africa, America, Asia, and Europe. John also won a bronze medal at the The Queensland International Open, September 1987 U60kg (Angelo Vlahek won gold).
