Italian judoka Veronica Toniolo became the European and World Junior Champion in 2023. She won gold at the Youth Olympic Games team event in 2018. She captured the gold medal at the Cadet European Championships in Warsaw and bronze at the EYOF in Baku in 2019. Veronica was cadet world champion in Almaty in 2019. Coached by her father Raffaele Toniolo (and mother Monica Barbieri). Veronica took bronze at the Junior Worlds in Guayaquil in 2022. She earned a bronze medal at Grand Slam Tbilisi in 2023. She claimed bronze at the Grand Prix in Dushanbe in 2023 and 2024 and silver in Zagreb in 2023.
