Italian judoka Veronica Toniolo became the European and World Junior Champion in 2023. She won gold at the Youth Olympic Games team event in 2018. She captured the gold medal at the Cadet European Championships in Warsaw and bronze at the EYOF in Baku in 2019. Veronica became cadet world champion in Almaty in 2019. She is coached by her father Raffaelle Toniolo. Veronica took bronze at the Junior Worlds in Guayaquil in 2022. She captured a bronze medal at Grand Slam Tbilisi in 2023. She claimed a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Dushanbe and silver in Zagreb in 2023.
