Two-time World Championships competitor Moustapha Hamid lost out to Moritz Plafky (GER) in the first round a year ago in Budapest. Hamid remains an unknown quantity as he has not fought on the IJF World Judo Tour since then and his favoured seoi-otoshi has therefore not been critiqued. The Djibouti judoka is his country’s only representative in Baku and will be in action on day one.
