Italian judoka Gennaro Pirelli seized the gold at Grand Slam Dushanbe in 2024. He claimed the victory at the Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2022. Made his World Championships debut in 2023 but lost in his first round to later finalist Lukas Krpalek (2020 Olympic Champion). Captured a bronze medal at the 2019 Junior World Championships in Marrakech.Seized bronze at the 2024 European Championships in Zagreb. triumphed at the U23 European Championships in Budapest in 2021. Hails from Naples. Fights for G.S. Fiamme Oro.
