Ibrahim Issa Sani from Chad will make the step up to the world level for the first time in Baku. Issa Sani has represented Chad at the African Games, African Championships, Paris Grand Slam and in 2018 joined the IJF World Judo Tour to compete at two Grand Prix events. The youngster finished fifth at the Yaounde Open last year after losing his bronze medal contest to Christophe Emmanuel NDZOMO (CMR) by a waza-ari score.
