Russian judoka Valeriy Endovitskiy won a bronze medal at the European Cadet Championships in 2017 in Kaunas. He won the European Cup Cadets Follonica and Coimbra in 2017. In 2019 he took silver at the Junior European Cup in St. Petersburg. Valeriy Endovitskiy (RUS) was number 1 of the IJF World Ranking for cadets U90kg in 2017. He took European Junior gold with the Russian mixed team in Vantaa in 2019. With the Russian team he won the silver medal with the junior mixed team in 2019.

Russian young men take 7 out of 8 gold medals in Follonica

The first European Cup for Cadets was hosted by Italy. The city of Follonica saw eight Russian youngsters take 50% of all gold medals and a total of 26 medals. The Italian home team had a hopeful results with 9 medals, all three colours. Hungary and Croatia both won two medals. Polish Nikola Szlachta won the first gold medal for her country this season.
