Dutch judoka Ian van Herk is a Junior fulltime member of the Talent academy at NTC Papendal. Dutch Junior champion in 2022. He took a bronze medal at the Dutch Senior Championships in 2021. He added a Dutch Junior title in 2022 held in Dordrecht. He bagged a bronze medal at the Junior European Cup in Lignano in 2022 and silver at the senior European Cup in Dubrovnik in 2023 and bronze in 2024. He bagged bronze at the European Open in Warsaw in 2024. Silver at the 2024 European Open in Prague. Bagged bronze at 2024 European Cup in Malaga.
