In 2018 Hungarian judoka Gergely Nerpel won gold at the Cadet European Cup in Follonica, Cluj and Gyor. Gergely Nerpel (HUN) was number 1 of the IJF World Ranking for cadets U73kg in 2018. He claimed the gold at the Junior European Cup in Sarajevo in June 2021. He bagged a bronze medal at the Junior European Cup in Prague in 2021. He bagged a bronze medal at the European Cup in Celje in 2023.
