In 2018 Hungarian judoka Gergely Nerpel came third at the European U23 Championships in Potsdam in 2023. He won gold at the Cadet European Cup in Follonica, Cluj and Gyor. Gergely Nerpel (HUN) was number 1 of the IJF World Ranking for cadets in 2018. He claimed the gold at the Junior European Cup in Sarajevo in June 2021. He bagged a bronze medal at the Junior European Cup in Prague in 2021 and European Cup Celje in 2023. He won the Hungarian senior title in 2023. Took silver at the European Open in Gyor and Warsaw in 2024. Attained bronze at the 2024 European University Games in Miskolc.
