Hovhannes Davtyan was one of the most successful judoka of Armenia. He won four |European medals. Anonther very successful Armenian judoka was Armen Nazaryan who became European Judo Champion in 2005 and he also won four medals in total. Davtyan participated in three Olympic Games and was 9th in Rio and 7th in London. Judo twins Garik and Gor Harutyunyan became European Junior Champion in 2011. The Armenian Judo Federations organised the European Championships U23 in Yerevan in 2003 and European Junior Championships in 2009.
