Gennaro Pirelli of Italy proved to be a force to be reckoned with at the Dushanbe Grand Slam, securing his second grand slam gold medal in an impressive display of skill and determination. Despite an early setback against Jonghoon Won of Korea, Pirelli showcased his resilience by quickly responding with a decisive ippon, setting the stage for his remarkable performance throughout the tournament.

In the final against Daniel Eich of Switzerland, Pirelli demonstrated his aggressive attacking style, which earned him an early advantage as Eich accumulated penalties. Despite Eich's strong comeback attempts, a third penalty for stepping out of the contest area sealed Genny Pirelli's victory and secured his place atop the podium once again. The man is on fire.

Meanwhile, Dzhakhongir Madzhidov of Tajikistan delighted the home crowd by securing a bronze medal after a hard-fought contest against Toma Nikiforov of Belgium. Madzhidov's strong performance throughout the tournament, including a notable win over Nurlykhan Skarkhan of Kazakhstan, showcased his potential as a rising star in the sport.

The tournament also saw impressive performances from other competitors, including Kostoev of the United Arab Emirates, who secured a bronze medal with a dominant victory over Reyes of Canada. With momentum building ahead of the upcoming world championships in Abu Dhabi, Kostoev's performance bodes well for his future prospects in the sport.
