Matthias Casse will skip the European Judo Championships to focus on his preparations for the upcoming World Cup and the Games. The decision comes as Casse, currently the world number 1 in the -81 kg category, opts to prioritize training for these major events. Despite his absence, the Belgian delegation for the European Championships in Zagreb includes eleven judokas, with notable names like Jorre Verstraeten, Jarne Duyck, and Toma Nikiforov among the men, and Ellen Salens, Amber Ryheul, and Gabriella Willems among the women.
