At U60kg, Yang Yung Wei (TPE) is the main man to look out for. The main players to watch at U66kg are Denis Vieru (MDA) and An Baul (KOR). Big throwers Tal Flicker (ISR) and Baruch Shmailov (ISR) are always exciting to watch.

Three players to keep your eye on at U73kg are Lasha Shavdatuashvili (GEO), Zhansay Smagulov (KAZ) and Arthur Margelidon (CAN), an unconventional thrower.

The U81kg division has to be one of the toughest, if not the toughest category. The players to look out for are Tato Grigalashvili (GEO), Kenya Kohara (JPN), Lee Joonhwan (KOR), Sagi Muki (ISR), Matthias Casse (BEL), and Guilherme Schimidt (BRA). Note that Loic Pietri (FRA) is making a comeback.

The U90kg division is another super tough category: Luka Maisuradze (GEO), Sami Chouchi (BEL), Mihael Zgank (TUR), Gwak Donghan (KOR), Nemanja Majdov (SRB), Goki Tajima (JPN), Lasha Bekauri (GEO), Eduard Trippel (GER) and Noel Van T End (NED) are all top prospects.

The U100kg division is not quite as jammed-packed with top prospects but it also has some very exciting players to watch, notably Michael Korrel (Ned), Toma Nikiforov (BEL), Lukas Krpalek (CZE), Varlam Liparteliani (GEO), Shady Elnahas (CAN), and Muzaffarbek Turoboyev (UZB)

The +100kg division is notable because Teddy Riner (FRA) will be competing. He might end up facing Guram Tushishvili (GEO), a prospect everyone is excited about. Other players to watch out for are Hyoga Ota (JPN), Roy Meyer (NED), Teddy Riner (FRA) and Kim Minjong (KOR).
