TSV Abensberg Bundesliga Champion in Germany
In an exciting and high-class final match in the German Bundesliga, the defending champions and record holders TSV Abensberg beat the Hamburg judo team 9:5. At the title fights in the Wandsbek sports hall in Hamburg, top judoka from Germany and abroad delivered some breathtaking fights.
After the first round, TSV Abensberg was 4:3 ahead after wins by Falk Petersilka, Roy Meyer, Luka Maisuradze and Lukas Vennekold. For Hamburg, Yerrick Schriever, Moritz Plafky and Tofig Mammadov had clinched the points. The Bavarians then pulled away in round two and ensured the 9:5 final score through wins by Falk Petersilka, Nikolas Menzl, Roy Meyer, Vazha Margvelashvili and Johann Lenz. On the Hamburg side, Moritz Plafky and Dominic Ressel scored points.
In the semi-final bouts, the Hamburg judo team had previously won 10:4 against Judo-Club Leipzig and TSV Abensberg also won 10:4 against Sportunion Witten-Annen.
