The Brazilian Judo Confederation informs that the Brazilian Lightweight Eduardo Barbosa (73kg) presented a positive result for COVID-19 and will not fight the Grand Slam of Tbilisi this Saturday.
As a precaution, the weight Welterweight Eduardo Yudy Santos (81kg), who shared a room with Barbosa, was also removed from the contest, despite having a negative result in the test for COVID-19 conducted by the Grand Slam organization on Thursday, 25.
Both are asymptomatic and complying with the isolation protocols under the care of the CBJ Medical Commission that accompanies the delegation in Georgia.
Previously France, Cuba and Germany took out athletes as a precaution.
