Three Kosovo women going for gold in Tashkent

Some surprises in the morning session in Tashkent at the 2018 edition of the Tashkent Grand Prix in Uzbekistan. Tashkent isn’t that easy to take anymore, not ever for the usual medal catchers. Otgontsetseg Galbadrakh was one of the first victims of the day. Local favourite Sharafuddin Lutfillaev who was in the Grand Slam final this year, got stuck at the seventh place.

Krasniqi won against the Hungarian for the last time in 2014 in Paris.

The Kosovo Olympic Judo Team is Quarantined, Isolated in a Training Room. The Kosovo judo team has been self-isolating as it prepares for the Tokyo Olympics. Olympic champion Majlinda Kelmendi, four other judokas and five staff members have closed themselves in at a training center in Peja, 85 kilometers (50 miles) west of Pristina. Read more

The world number four won the first edition of Tel Aviv Grand Prix last year and could prove to be unstoppable once again. Majlinda Kelmendi wins rematch against Giuffrida

Olympic champion Majlinda Kelmendi of Kosovo extracted a degree of revenge for losing the 2018 Abu Dhabi final against Olympic silver medallist Odette Giuffrida (ITA) by beating her long-time rival to win the 2019 edition. Kelmendi extended her one-sided winning record over Giuffrida to 7-2 by countering a desperate harai-makikomi effort after five minutes of golden score. Read more
