Germany and The Netherlands have qualified for the finals at the European Mixed team Championships in Ekaterinburg. The Dutch defeated number one seed France. On the other side of the sheet Russia got spanked by the German team. The Home team Russia was impressive with two 4-0 victories, but lost 4-1 to the Germans.

France was the expected winner of the pool after a victory against the promising Belarussian team by 4-0 and against Austria as well a 4-0 win. Austria bested Belarus in the repechage. France though got surprised by the Dutch team that won by 4-2. In the last two contests Natascha Ausma and Jur Spijkers won their fights and made it 4-2. The Dutch team surprises with a victory over the team of Azerbaijan by 4-2. In Baku the next World Championships will take place. Then the Dutch defeated the seeded Romanian team by 4-3. Romania lost to Azerbaijan in the repechage.

Russia was convincing against Ukraine and Czech Republic, both 4-0 whilst Germany stunted against Slovenia and Turkey. Turkey bested Israel, but frankly speaking the teams do not have the usual strength of the countries due to the timing of this championship. Russia was not at its best in the semi final where the Germans impressed. Theresa Stoll bested Konkina and Anthony Zingg defeated Denis Iartcev giving the Germans the right flow.

The Ukraine defeated Czech Republic in the repechage and faced Turkey in the Repechage final where they won by 4-2. France will now fight Ukraine. Austria lost to Azerbaijan, and the Azeri will now will fight Russia for the bronze medal.
