Judo Mixed Team event added to the 2020 Olympic Games

Judo mixed team competition has been included at Tokyo 2020 by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). In Lausanne the IOC decided to include the team event, which was also included at the Youth Olympic Games in 2010 and 2014.

A total of 15 events were added to the Olympic Games. The IJF successfully applied after a long lobby. It will give the team event in Judo an tremendous boost including the 2017 World Championships in Budapest which will count heavily on the IJF Team Ranking.
