Odette Giuffrida looks back at Olympic silver performance
Odette Giuffrida is walking on pink clouds, totally in love wither her sport judo. As second youngest medallist behind Ami Kondo, the Italian silver medallist looks back with a huge smile on her face thanking her coach Dario Romano about the lessons learned, the path walked and the knowledge shared. On her Instagram account Giuffrida shares her emotions with us.
"Today I look back, I think of these four years and I can say with certainty that this man, Dario Romano, changed my life. He made me grow up, made me fall in love even more of this beautiful sport, he opened my head and broadened my view.
Together we have worked so hard, we sweat, we laughed, we cried, we gritted our teeth together."
"A month before the Olympics I passed the most difficult period of my life. But he, my coach, was always there beside me. He was the one to grab my hand, he got me on track. Together we went to hell but in the end we did it!
Right now I smile as I remember one of the first things he told me when we met, "Carpenter, remember that the focus is not the results but the road to reach them." Well, a smile, I can tell you that since I met Dario Romano, my coach, I'm a better person."
TANTISSIMI AUGURI COACH!
Thanks for everything.
