English lessons with Olympic Champion Kaori Matsumoto
Kaori Matsumoto delivered the only gold medal for Japan at the Olympic Games. Since this year she is back on the tatami and quite successful winning gold at the Grand Prix in Dusseldorf and she took the first place at the Grand Prix of Budapest. A good practice for the World Championships. But most over Kaori is very relaxed. So time to work on her English and have a chat.
She says that the body is okay, despite some day-after pain in the body and most over the shoulder after Saturday's fights, but the mind is good.
In terms of communication she keeps off some publicity although she unveiled she is on twitter, but very very little. I watch and enjoy.
One day after the gold medal in Budapest, she is making fun with Ami Kondo who won the bronze and they follow their team mates. One of the team is Karen Nun-Ira. Did you know that she is half Ghanese? That's why her name. I am actually half Korean, while saying that Ami starts to laugh suspicious and both cannot hold it any longer. Could you imagine!
Let's conclude that Matsumoto has a few ambitions for this year: gold in Chelyabinsk and a grade for English, okay, 5 words per day at least.
