Paralympic judoka Shirin Sharipov of Uzbekistan won bronze at the Paralympic Games in Rio in 2016. He is one of the world’s best and most consistent judoka competing U100kg. In 2014 he won silver at the IBSA Judo World Championships in the USA, losing out in the final to Russia’s Abdula Kuramagomedov. He won IBSA World Games and Judo World Championships in Seoul. He claimed the gold at the IBSA Grand Prix in Baku in 2019. He won the IBSA Asian and Oceania Championships in Atyrau in 2019. He took gold at the 2021 IBSA Judo Grand Prix in Baku
