Uzbek judoka Alisher Yusupov Attained a bronze medal at the 2024 World Championships in Abu Dhabi and 2023 Worlds in Doha. Yusupov's achievements also include a bronze medal at the Grand Slam of Osaka in 2019, silver at the Grand Slam in Antalya in 2022, and silver at the Grand Slam in Tbilisi in 2022. Additionally, bronze at the IJF Masters in Jerusalem in 2022 and another bronze at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2023 and 2024 after a heroic fight with Teddy Riner in the semi final. Familiar for employing a "sumo wrestling" approach by utilizing his fishing hand to grip opponents from the back.
