Japanese judoka Genki Koga won the 2018 Junior world title in Nassau. He became World Cadet Champion in 2015 in Sarajevo. Genki is the son of 1992 Olympic champion and three-time world champion Koga Toshihiko. He took the bronze medal at the World Junior Championships in Zagreb in 2017. He won the World Junior Mixed Team Championships in 2017 and 2018 Genki Koga (JPN) was number 1 of the IJF World Ranking for juniors U60kg in 2018. He took a silver medal at the Grand Prix in Tashkent in 2019. He claimed a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Tbilisi, Tokyo and Grand Prix Zagreb in 2022.
