Georgian judoka Gela Zaalishvili won the 2018 Junior world title in Nassau. He took gold at the Grand Slam in Tel Aviv in 2021. He took bronze at the EYOF in Tbilisi in 2015. Gela took bronze at the Junior European Championships in 2017 in Maribor and gold in 2019. Gela won bronze at Euro U23 in 2017 and bronze in 2021. He took silver at the U23 Europeans in 2020. Zaalishvili won the Grand Slam in Baku in 2019 and bronze at the Grand Prix Budapest. He captured the gold medal at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in July. He bagged Grand Slam gold in Tbilisi in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
