Azeri judoka Rovshan Aliyev won the 2018 Junior world title in Nassau. He won the European Cup U21 St Petersburg and Prague in 2018. He took a silver medal at the Junior European Cup in Berlin in 2019. He took silver at the Junior European Championships in 2019 in Vaantaa. He captured a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2021. He secured a bronze medal at the European Open in Warsaw in 2022. He took silver at the European Open in Riccione in 2022. Bagged bronze at the 2024 European Cup Celje Podčetrtek.
