Worlds first-timer Harrison Cassar is the youngest member of Australia’s team for Baku 2018. The former -81kg judoka moved up to -90kg in 2017 and won bronze at the Taipei Open this year in his first event of his Tokyo 2020 qualification campaign. Cassar made his IJF debut in July in Zagreb and experienced a second Grand Prix competition a month later in Budapest. He claimed a bronze medal at the Asian Open in Hong Kong in 2018. National champion in 2022. He clinched a bronze medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
