Judoka Paul Kibikai of Gabon won the African Open in Port Louis in 2013. In 2015 Kibikai won a silver medal at the 2015 All African Games in Brazzaville. He participated in the Olympic Games of Rio2016 where he won against Al Aameri )IRQ) and lost to World Champion Nagase (JPN). He is a veteran of four World Championships. He captured a bronze medal at the African Open in Yaounde and Dakar in 2019.
