German judoka Giovanna Scoccimarro captured a world bronze medal in Doha 2023. She finished fifth at the 2020 Olympic Games but took bronze with the German team at Tokyo 2020. She became Junior World Champion in Zagreb in 2017. She became European Cadet Champion in 2014 in Athens and won the EYOF in 2013. With the German Junior Team she won bronze at the World Mixed Teams in 2017 in Zagreb. In 2019 she won the Grand Prix in Montreal. She took bronze at the IJF Judo Masters in Doha in 2021. She won the European Open in Rome in 2023 and silver in 2024. Bronze at GS Tbilisi and GP Linz in 2023.
