Japanese judoka Rika Takayama collected 10 Grand Slam medals including five victories (2016-2024) in Tyumen, Ekaterinburg, Tokyo and Tashkent (twice), as well as two Grand Prix titles. Did not yet win a World championships medal. The -78kg is tremendous strong and dominated by Ruika Sato, Mami Umeki and Shori Hamada winning the major internatinoal medals. Shori Hamada became the 2020 Olympic Champion. Became the 2024 Asian Champion in Hong Kong, silver in 2016 in Tashkent -78kg. All japan Judo champion in 2014, 2021 and 2023.
