Italian judoka Giovanni Esposito became World Cadet Champion in 2015 in Sarajevo. He claimed European silver medal at in 2022 in Sofia. He won a bronze medal at the European Cadet Championships and claimed the gold at the EYOF 2015 in Tbilisi U66kg. He is raised in Napoli, the Italian city of judo talent. He captured bronze at the European Open in Oberwart in 2018. He won the European Cup U21 in Leibnitz in 2018. He took silver at the Grand Slam in Tel Aviv in 2021. He secured a silver medal at the Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi in 2022. Silver medal at the 2024 Grand Prix in Zagreb.
