Marko Bubanja won a bronze medal at the World Cadet Championships in 2013 in Miami. He took two Austrian senior titles and championships in each age category. In 2016 he switched for Montenegro having a double nationality. He won bronze at the Junior European Championships in 2016 in Malaga. He captured gold at the European Open in Warsaw in 2019. He won gold at the Balkan Championships in 2016. He claimed the gold medal at the European Open in Oberwart in 2020.
