Georgian heavyweight Levani Matiashvili started his career with valuable Junior medals such as bronze at the 2013 World Championships and European gold in 2012, he won silver in 2011 and 2013. At senior level he won the Grand Prix in Tbilisi and multiple other World Cup medals such as silver at the Grand Slam in Ekaterinburg in 2017. He took a bronze medal at the Grand Prix Tbilisi in 2018 and 2022 (Grand Slam) and gold in 2019. He took silver at the Grand Prix in Antalya and bronze in Zagreb in 2019. He claimed a bronze medal at the European Championships in Prague.
