Niyaz Ilyasov claimed the silver medal at the World Championships in Tokyo in 2019 and bronze Baku in 2018. He took bronze at the Tokyo Games. He is 2015 World Junior Champion of Abu Dhabi. He was European Junior Champion Judo in 2014 and won bronze in 2015. Russia he won the European team title in 2015 and bronze at World level. He claimed won gold at the Grand Slam in Ekaterinburg in 2018. He captured gold at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2018. He took gold at the Grand Slam in Budapest in 2020. He took bronze at the Grand Slam in Tel Aviv in 2021.
