Kubra Kara of Türkiye won the national title in 2016 after two bronze medals and three lost finals. Kara won the Turkish junior title four times. In 2012 she won bronze at the World Cup in Istanbul. In 2013 she won European Junior silver +78kg in Sarajevo. She won 3 European Cups as Junior. She won the senior European Cup in Saarbrucken in 2016. She won gold at the Balkan Championships in 2016 and in 2013.
